I am a retired* engineer and project manager. The name of the site comes from my intention to not spend my retirement in a rocking chair on the front porch. That means I have more time to devote to my varied hobby interests including photography.
Disclaimer: I don't have a front porch, but I do have a rocking chair, I just don't spend a lot of time rocking.
